About HanBuddy

We connect you with local buddies in Korea.

A buddy is a Korean local who hosts a small-group experience and goes with you. HanBuddy is where you find one, book, and get your questions answered by a real person.

Why we started

The best nights in Korea are the ones you spend with locals.

June 2026

Guests and buddies smiling in the stands on the first HanBuddy baseball night

First KBO night at Jamsil

One guest, the whole team as buddies, and a lot to learn.

Our first guest told us the game alone was not enough. They wanted to meet the Koreans beside them. So we changed how we host. Three months later, a guest said it “felt like spending time with friends.”

Our runs

Where we’ve been, and where we’re going next.

  1. Travelers and local buddies cheering together at a baseball game

    July 2026

    KBO at Jamsil, round two

Three guests, cheering songs, chicken and beer. All three surveys came back 5 out of 5.

  2. Guests and buddies at a K League match

    August 2026

    First football night: K League

Seoul World Cup Stadium, scarves, and a guest who said it felt like being with friends.

  3. September 2026

Five game nights, and our first buddies from outside the team

Gocheok Sky Dome, Jamsil, and a national team match at Seoul World Cup Stadium. Licensed tour guides joined us as buddies.

  4. Winter 2026

    Indoor sports and partner experiences

As the baseball season ends, we are lining up indoor sports like basketball and volleyball, plus partner experiences such as K-beauty and local food.

How it works

Buddies host. You join. We connect you.

  1. Buddies and partners host

Korean locals host and go with you, from cheering-song fans to licensed tour guides. Partner experiences are run by local businesses and labelled as partner. We check every host first.

  2. You book on HanBuddy

Pick a date and pay online. For a game night, your ticket and stadium food are included.

  3. We stay with you until it is done

A real person answers your questions before the day, and a one-minute survey after helps us improve.

Meet the team

We’re ZeroOne, three friends from Seoul and HanBuddy’s first buddies.

We hosted the first game nights ourselves. Now we run the platform, answer your messages, and still show up in the stands.

HanBuddy is the official project of team ZeroOne in AI·SW Maestro (17th), a national tech talent program by Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT.
